Replies to this email are not monitored. If you have questions, please call your provider’s office. Dear Patient, We look forward to seeing you for your upcoming appointment, and want you to know about the protocols Penn Medicine has in place to maximize the safety of our care environments and operating rooms. We also want to make you aware of some new procedures and precautions we’re taking to promote physical distancing and further protect you and our staff.

Before Your Appointment

If you have a myPennMedicine account, we strongly recommend that you complete Pre Check-In prior to your appointment to reduce physical contact with staff and spend less time in the waiting room. Pre Check-In lets you complete your health care paperwork up to four days ahead of time, including confirming or changing your contact information, medications, allergies and current health issues. Just sign in to myPennMedicine, find your appointment in your To Do list, and select the Pre Check-In button.

During Your Appointment

To protect the health and safety of you and our staff, we have made some changes to our visitor guidelines at each of Penn Medicine’s hospitals and outpatient facilities. These guidelines include the following.
  • Requiring everyone to wear a face covering or mask and complete health screenings before entering the facility
  • Only allowing visitors to accompany patients in exceptional circumstances
  • Closing valet service at all Penn Medicine locations (Please note: Garage and outdoor parking, drop-offs, shuttle service and patient escorts are still available.)
  • Maximizing physical distancing in waiting rooms and patient care areas
