Many patients have reached out to our office with questions on the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine. Currently Ewing Medical Associates does not have access to the COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccine availability will be phased in based on risk levels starting with Phase 1A which includes paid and unpaid persons serving in health care settings who have the potential for direct or indirect exposure to patients or infectious materials as well as residents and staff of long term congregate settings. Subsequent phases will be activated as eligible to receive the vaccine according to the New Jersey Department of Health.
During the vaccine roll out it is still critical to follow all preventative guidelines to limit the spread of the virus such as social distancing, wearing the appropriate mask, and practicing good hand hygiene.
New Jersey is rolling out COVID -19 vaccines step by step with the end goal of serving all adults who live, work or are being educated in the state. The plan will be continually updated in response to the changing circumstances of the pandemic.
